Day 2: Southern Pines, North Carolina / by abby hanlon

All 125 second graders at Southern Pines Primary School received a copy of Dory Dory Black Sheep -- a gift from the Literacy Fundraising Committee at the Southern Pines Rotary Club.  The other adults in the picture are Angie Tally from The Country Bookshop who applied for the grant and Sue Bruton from the Southern Pines Rotary Club.  I was hugely honored to be a part of this enormous gift.

And look who came to The Country Bookshop!!!! Thank you Katherine and Rainer for bringing these characters to life.  What a terrific surprise for everyone. It was a thrill to meet such creative and devoted fans of the Dory series.
